Official Launch Celebration – 26th Feb

Official Launch Celebration – 26th Feb

Join us to Go Bananas for Fairtrade at our official launch celebration!

11:00 – 18:00 Thursday 26th February

at Peace Hub, 41 Bull St, Birmingham, B4 6AF

To celebrate our launch, we’re inviting the public to join us for a Fairtrade party.  We’ll be open for extended hours, so pop in any time between 11 and 6 to join the celebration.  You can share a Fairtrade cuppa and a slice of cake, play our ‘Is It Fair?’ game, and take action to ask local supermarkets to make switch their bananas to Fairtrade.

Our sister organistion Peacemakers have invited local schools to take part in an art competition on the theme ‘what does peace mean to me?’  During the day, you’ll be able to have a look at the top entries, and the Lord Liutenant of West Midlands will be awarding a prize to the winner.

Special Evening Reception 18:30 – 20:30

at The Priory Rooms, 40 Bull St, Birmingham, B4 6AF

In the evening, The Priory Rooms will be hosting a reception, with an introduction to our next peace & justice theme, making the link between WWI and today, by QPSW Peaceworker Matthew Burnett-Stuart.  Starting with a buffet and refreshments hosted by The Priory Rooms you can meet likeminded people to share news and contacts. Then discover the Peace Hub’s motivating call to promote peace and justice in Birmingham and how they hope to work together with the community.  For the evening event, please RSVP to office@peacehub.org.uk
