Are you Passionate about Peace & Justice?

Join with others in a community that puts that passion into practice by becoming a Peace Hub Activist!

What is a Peace Hub Activist?

Peace Hub uses a rolling programme of peace and justice themes, and we need friendly volunteers who can get the public interested, engaged and inspired to take action.  We’ll brief you on the latest theme, and you’ll chat to members of the public who drop in to our shop-style space about what the issues are and how we can all work together to make a difference.

Time Commitment

Peace Hub is currently open 11am-5pm Tue-Thu.  Most of our activists volunteer on a regular basis during one of these slots one day per week or fortnight.

We understand that these times do not suit everyone, so a small number of our volunteers help out in other ways: for example, writing articles for the website on our current theme.  If you have something you’d like to contribute, please do get in touch.

Skills / Qualifications Needed

Enthusiasm, friendliness and good communication skills are more important than prior knowledge or experience. We aim to have a diverse range of people in our volunteer team – you don’t need to be a Quaker!  We do ask volunteers to act in sympathy with the Quaker Testimonies on peace, simplicity, equality and truth, while at the Hub.

Training and support will be provided before and during your volunteering experience.
