Fairtrade Fortnight 2015 has finished, and so has Peace Hub’s Fairtrade theme, as we move on to our new theme of Conscientious Objectors.
But there are plenty of ways to keep active for Fairtrade: including at Peace Hub! We’re are delighted to announce that we will contiunue to stock Fairtrade snacks from Carrs Lane Fairtrade Shop, and of course whenever you pop in for a cuppa, you can be sure it’s Fairtrade.
You can also keep making it fair whenever you shop – just look out for the Fairtrade logo on products from coffee to gold.
If you’re keen to stay active on this issue, the Fairtrade Foundation has lots of useful resources on registering your place of work, study or worship as Fairtrade. They also have regular campaigns that you can get involved in. If you want to talk to like-minded people about how to get a campaign going for Fairtrade, or any othe peace & justice issue, you’re always welcome to pop into the Hub for a chat.
And if you’re interested in economic justice a little closer to home, why not check out what’s happening for Quaker Equality week – including a letter-writing workshop for the living wage right here at the Peace Hub on Weds 11th March.
