at The Priory Rooms, BirminghamJoin us and Birmingham City of Sanctuary, for some short films exploring ‘Courage’ (the theme of this years’ Refugee Week 15-21 June).
At a time when some seek to divide and blame, these films call us to come together and share the courage to welcome, to stand for what we believe in, and to celebrate culture and community โ to be joyful, imagine new possibilities, dream, heal, and connect.
We hope to have speakers with lived experience joining us, and will also have some brief contributions from Birmingham City of Sanctuary and Peace Hub, reflecting on how we can take inspiration from the films to make this welcome a reality in our city.
Entry is free (donations welcome). Doors open at 6:30pm, the films start at 7pm.ย Tea and coffee will be available in the atrium for ยฃ2.
Registration is not essential, but if you are able to register it will help us plan for numbers:
