We’ve Relaunched!

We’ve Relaunched!

Thanks to everyone who braved the snowy weather on Sunday to join our Relaunch Celebration.

People from across the West Midlands took part in creative activities for peace, learned about Peace Hub’s current theme Peaceful Brum, caught up on our recent themes, and of course shared some celebratory tea and cake!

Following a viewing of the Hub’s new cafe-style layout, attendees participated in a workshop at Bull St Quaker Meeting House, exploring how we can take action for peace in our own lives.  By the end of the workshop, people had pledged to take an action for peace, and thought about how to get the support to take that next step.

To finish the afternoon, those who didn’t have to rush to get a train took part in a photo action to declare:

Together, let’s make a Peaceful Brum

It was an enjoyable afternoon, and a great way to celebrate relaunching the Hub.  Here’s to another 3 years (and beyond!) of making peace in Birmingham.

If you missed out on the day, you can still get involved:

  • You can pop into Peace Hub every Tuesday – Friday to enjoy a cuppa in our cafe-style Hub, find out about our theme Peaceful Brum, and make your own pledge for peace.
  • Creative activities for all ages and abilities will be available during our normal opening hours during the school Easter Holidays (3rd – 13th April).
  • Resources from all our previous themes and books on peace & justice are available to browse in our Resource Centre.
  • The workshop ‘Peace begins with all of us’ can be booked by groups in the West Midlands, facilitated by our coordinator Pete (along with the talk we already offer: ‘Peace & Justice – what does it mean in the 21st Century?’)
