Update on Think Global, Act Local, Get Equal

Update on Think Global, Act Local, Get Equal

Last autumn we were encouraging everyone to Think Global, Act Local, Get Equal.  There are two events this March that will give you a chance to do just that!

Uniting for a Progressive UK: Launch – Tuesday 14th March 2017

7:00-9:00pm at BVSC, Digbeth High St

On our feedback board, you provided your thoughts on some progressive principles that could provide a starting point for a fairer and more compassionate society: Enabling PotentialEqual SocietyParticipatory DemocracyEnvironmental SustainabilityAn Economy for the Common Good.

A grassroots initiative has developed these ideas over the course of 2016, and at this event they will be lauched to a wider audience: so pop along and give your thoughts.  You can also provide feedback online: it only takes a few minutes!

Birmingham Pound Open Meeting – Monday 27th March 2017

5:30-7:30pm at Royal Bank of Scotland, Colmore Row

Many of you signed up to show your support for the idea of a Birmingham Pound: a special currency that you would be able to spend with local businesses, to help boost the real economy in our area.  At this event, the steering committee will share their work and research so far, and invite your feedback on how to take the idea forward.

Both events are free, but please book online:
