Do Something Good: at the touch of a button!

Do Something Good: at the touch of a button!

If you’ve been along Bull St today (23rd Nov) you may have noticed one of these funny little boxes on the doorstep of the Hub.  Or perhaps you spotted one in 200° cafe or at Cycle Republic on Colmore Row?  They’re testing out a project that you can join in with all next week:

Something Good (Measures of Us) with Birmingham Cathedral

28th Nov 2016 – 2nd Dec 2016

at Peace Hub, Birmingham

“As winter approaches, we invite you to take part in a unique creative experiment.  We’re asking you to answer one question a day for five days and find out how others in your neighbourhood feel as well.”

In 6 areas around the city, a total of 24 little black boxes will be hosted by shops and community spaces such as the hairdresser, hardware shop, post office and library as well as cafes, pubs and faith venues: including here at Peace Hub! There will be a question displayed on this box, which you can answer by pressing one of three smiley buttons.  There will be a new question each day, for 5 days from Monday 28th November to Friday 2nd December.

All the questions are about how you are feeling at this time of year: pop by Peace Hub between 11am and 2pm Mon* to Fri, to take part – all it takes is a touch of a button!

The (anonymous) results will be publicly displayed, outdoors in a central place in each area. From dusk onwards each day: use your phone, camera flash or torch to light up the display.

Find out more about the project, including a special concluding event on Saturday 3rd December.

*yes we will be specially open on Monday 28th November, so that we can take part in all 5 questions!
