at Peace Hub, BirminghamWe’re teaming up with our sister organisation Peacemakers to celebrate International Peace Day 2016.
Peacemakers (West Midlands Quaker Peace Education Project) are offering free workshops and activities for school-children on 21st, 27th & 28th September. The theme for Peace Day is the Sustainable Development Goals which encourages us to Live Today with Tomorrow in Mind.
We will think about how the goals relate to peace and most importantly what we can do to initiate change today within our schools with the aim of building and sustaining more peaceful school communities. By the end of the day, children and teachers from different schools in Birmingham will have a seed of an idea to take back and plant within their school communities and ways of staying in touch with one another.
This event is fully booked – we look forward to welcoming the participating schools!
Please note – Peace Hub will be closed 11 till 2 on 21st, 27th & 28th September to accomodate the school groups. We will be open 4 till 6 on those days – so do pop in to help us celebtrate Intenational Peace Day!
