Creative Actvities throughout the Easter Holidays

3rd Apr 2018 - 13th Apr 2018, All Day

at Peace Hub, Birmingham

Making peace often involves thinking outside the box – taking part in creative activities can help us get in the right frame of mind to make change.

Throughout the school Easter Holidays 2018, pop into Peace Hub during our normal opening times to take part in creative activities for all ages and abilities.

Here are some of the creative activities that children and adults can pick and choose from:

  • Peace Plates: an activity that’s open to everyone and can be as easy or challening as you want to make it.  Create your own peace plate design based on the classic CND symbol.
  • Paper Doves: an easy activity to make a paper dove using concertina technique.  Doves are a symbol of peace in Christianity, Judaism, Paganism and for secular pacifists.
  • Origami Boats: a medium difficulty activity to create a paper boat bearing a message of peace.  Paper boats have been used as a symbol of freedom by activists in Myanmar and around the world.
  • Origami Cranes: a more challenging activity for those who are a bit more experienced.  Origami cranes have become a symbol of peace in Japan and across the world.

The activities will take less than half an hour, so they’re perfect for dropping in and enjoying if you’re around in Birmingham city centre.
